    1. I designate any contribution made after November 4 to the retirement of outstanding committee debt, to the extent permissible under federal law. My designation is made according to the following terms: (1) to the extent that debt incurred in connection with the 2014 primary election exists, and to the extent that I may still contribute to the 2014 primary election, I designate my contribution to the 2014 primary election; and (2) once debt incurred in connection with the 2014 primary election is extinguished, and to the extent that I may still contribute to the 2014 general election, I designate my contribution to the 2014 general election. Contributions for debt retirement may be made to the extent the donor has not already contributed the maximum allowable amount to an election ($2,600 to the primary, and $2,600 to the general). The campaign will adhere to all FEC regulations regarding debt retirement, and will refund contributions from donors who have reached their maximum allowable contribution, as well as contributions received after all debt has been retired.
      This contribution is made by my personal credit card, for which I have a legal obligation to pay, and is not drawn on an account maintained by an incorporated entity. I am a U.S. citizen or am lawfully admitted as a permanent resident, and I am not a federal government contractor (does not apply to personal contributions made by subcontractors, employees, partners, shareholders or officers of federal contractors). This contribution will not be reimbursed by another person. If this is a joint contribution, we confirm that we are spouses and/or joint account holders, that we are jointly responsible for the credit card used, and that by clicking on "Submit Donation" we are providing the electronic consent (i.e., signature) of both contributors.
  1. Contributions to John Chapman for Congress are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. Contributions are limited to $2,600 per individual per election to John Chapman for Congress. The primary and general elections are separate elections and an individual may contribute a combined total of up to $5,200 to the John Chapman for Congress - $2,600 will be designated to the primary election and $2,600 will be designated to the general election. Contributions from corporations, labor organizations, foreign nationals, and federal government contractors are prohibited. Federal law requires John Chapman for Congress to use its best efforts to obtain and report the name, mailing address, occupation and employer for each individual whose contributions exceeds $200 in an election cycle.

First, thank you for your support. Although I wish the outcome yesterday was different, we ran a race we can look back on and be proud of. Together we showed that the Republican Party is alive and well in Massachusetts - ready to hold both Capitol Hill and Beacon Hill accountable.

I am proud that we ran a race that brought the issues facing Massachusetts 9th Congressional District to the forefront. With your help we made hundreds of thousands of phone calls, knocked thousands of doors, and ran one of the most energetic races our state has ever seen. I will cherish the new friendships I made on the trail and the time I spent meeting voters on fish piers in New Bedford, at fairs on the South Shore and summer picnics on the Cape.

During my conversation with Congressman Keating last night, I urged him to focus on jobs and the economy, securing the border, to continue to fight for the fishing community and those negatively affected by FEMAs flood maps.

Thank you all for your support over the past year. It has truly been an honor of a lifetime.
